Who We Are

We believe the Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, to be the inspired Word of God, without error in the original writings, the complete revelation of His will for the salvation of man, the absolute, sufficient and final authority for all of Christian faith and life.

2 Peter 1:21; 2 Timothy 3:15-16; Hebrews 4:12

We believe in one holy God, creator of all things, infinitely perfect and existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Genesis 1:1; John 4:24; Psalm 90:2; John 15:25; Matthew 28:19

We believe that Jesus Christ is true God and true man, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He died a substitutionary death on the cross as a sacrifice for our sins according to the Scriptures. He arose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Majesty on High as our High Priest and Advocate.

Matthew 1:22,23; John 1:14; 1 Corinthians 15:3,4

We believe that the ministry of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ, to convict the world of sin, regenerate, indwell, instruct, guide and empower the believer for godly living and service.

John 15:26; John 16:7-14; Titus 3:5

We believe that man created in the image of God fell into sin through disobedience and is, therefore, spiritually dead and only through regeneration by the Holy Spirit can salvation and spiritual life be obtained.

Genesis 1:26,27; Genesis 3:1-6; Romans 5:12; Isaiah 53:6; Romans 6:23

We believe that the shed blood of Jesus Christ and His resurrection provide the only ground for justification and salvation for all who truly believe, and such as confess Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior are born of the Spirit of God as His redeemed children.

Romans 5:8-10; 2 Corinthians 5:21; John 1:12,13

We believe that Christ commanded the ordinances of Baptism and the Lord's Supper to be observed by the Church until He comes again. They are a great blessing to God's people but are not to be regarded as a means of salvation.

Luke 22:19; 1 Corinthians 11:25,26; Romans 6:3,4

We believe that the true Church is composed of all such persons who through regeneration by the Spirit and saving faith in Jesus Christ are united in the one Body of Christ of which He is the Head.

Acts 2:47; 1 Corinthians 12:13,27; Ephesians 1:22,23

We believe that only those who are members of the true Church shall be eligible for membership in the local church.

1 Corinthians 1:2

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Lord and Head of the Church, and that every local Church has the right and responsibility, under Christ, to decide and govern its own affairs according to the Scriptures.

Colossians 1:18; Acts 13:1-3

We believe in the personal, bodily and imminent return of our Lord Jesus Christ and that this "Blessed Hope" has vital bearing on the personal life and service of the believer.

John 14:3; Matthew 24:36; Titus 2:13; 1 John 2:28; 3:2,3

We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead; of believers to everlasting joy in the presence of the Lord, of unbelievers to judgment and everlasting conscious punishment.

1 Thessalonians 4:16,17; John 5:28; Revelation 20:12-15
